Mr. Somchai and Miss Napatchaya Sukkrasanti founded Kiengmool on Thailand’s NorthEast, Ubonratchathani Province in 1996.
About a 3 years earlier before starting the company, they’d started to grow the forest for community (afforestation). The plants they grew were Eucalyptus plantation in 1993 on the area of about 500 rai (200 Acres) of Ubonratchathani, Northeast of Bangkok Thailand. They sold the wood to a pulp mill. However, they found that the factory would only select the big timber. The small wood was thrown out a lot.
By recognizing the use of natural resources (wood) to maximize use of all wood. They decided to produce as high quality wood charcoal and wood vinegar smoke by the wood trap trapped in the process used to repel insects and odor absorbing. The factory was formed in 1996.
They also promoted to create jobs for people in the community in more than 50 households, including growers, old people, disabled persons and female inmates. With small chips of wood, they crated the value to community and company.
Kiengmool proudly manufactures its Home care, Home cleaning, Pet care and personal care products at its own factory in Ubonratchathani, Thailand and sells in Thailand, Denmark, HongKong, Malaysia and other countries.
